A Sweet Note

What a beautiful message to wake up to and I LOVE that you were midfully present to simply experience the smell of chocolate đź‘Ź . That’s the best!!!!!
I feel like sometimes we think it’s about being mindfully present for big moments so we don’t “miss them” ... our wedding, kids recitals, sporting events, their communion, holidays, etc. and that’s all well and good but life is made up of millions of little moments in the right here, right now that, trust me, you don’t want to miss. If we are mindful in each moment that’s where we get to smell chocolate with our whole body âť¤ď¸Ź, really hear the unique voice of our child at that particular age, notice their button nose, or the speckles in their eyes, or feel the hand of a loved one, or the smell of your child after they run in from outside, or the sun or clouds in the sky in a particular moment, the green of grass in the spring, catching the baristas eyes to give her a smile, the sounds of your kids moving around in the morning... and sometimes just the sound of our breathe as it moves in and out of our lungs. It’s about each moment, right here and right now...that is the gift that makes up your life and truly, it’s all we have is right now. Enjoy it, soak it up, love the hell out of it... and then do the same with the next instant.
One of my favorite nightly moments that I was acutely mindful for each night...was the feel of Michael’s hand slipping into my hand when it was time to go to sleep. I can tell you in detail how his hands felt, each line and crease, the texture, the muscles that moved, the way our hands perfectly fit together, and how loved and connected it made me feel. I had no idea that I would have only 7 years of falling asleep holding his hand and feeling what it felt like... So I am grateful I was present to experience it.
Thank you for taking the time to write this to me sweet friend... I’m so grateful you appreciate anything this bozo has to say đź™ŹđźŹĽâť¤ď¸Ź
