Report Cards

DISCLAIMER: I know nothing. I am just sharing what we are doing here in case it resonates with anyone. It comes from love ❤️
⭐️What do you do with your kids report cards?
Maddie brought hers home and we went through it and I complimented her and then it sat on my desk for a week. Usually then they are recycled 😬
This morning when I went in to do my morning routine and work, I saw it laying there and I was called to look again. I’m reminded that when I am in the present moment and not distracted I can act wholly and completely from place of love and be inspired in new ways I wouldn’t think of on my own.
I wrote her a love letter.
Yep on a report card 😂
I was thinking what if this wasn’t a great report card, then what would I write? ... well then what an opportunity for us to practice responding with love instead of fear and love on that person/child even harder. An opportunity for us to teach resilience, growth mindset, the power of YET around our stories of who we are (I’m not good at math YET, I’m not great in English Yet).
I heard the power of YET years ago and was just reminded of it last week. 🙏🏼
